This refers to those traditional activites, well appreciated by the Menorca public, which year after year are offered on a fixed basis.

• Activities for schools

  A selection of activities are offered to schools directly or through official organisation during school time in order to complement the pupils’ curriculum with musical and/or theatrical activities programmed for different age groups.

• Family Concerts

  During the months of Februay and March and in collaboration with La Caixa, a season of four concerts are offered to family audiences. The aim of these concerts is to familiarize the young audience to music in a ludical and educational way.

• Festival de Música d'Estiu

  The Principal Theatre welcomes the Summer Musice Festival organized by JJ.MM (Youth Orchestra) of Maó, with performances by some of the most important musicians of classical music.

• Weeks of Opera

  The Principal Theatre is the oldest opera theatre of Spain, and dates back to 1829, and due to the opera tradition of our city, the theatre organises two weeks a year of opera, in the months of June and December, with three performances per week.
